Agarose can vary widely in its characteristics as it is derived from natural sources. Bio-Tek Agarose is a premium biotechnology grade agarose which is extremely pure, and comprised of ultra-fine particles- yielding significantly lower background staining, uncompromised resolution, and is DNase/RNase free. It is also a low EEO (electroendosmosis) agarose, which further ensures optimal band resolution. It is an excellent all-purpose agarose suitable for routine nucleic acid and protein analytical and preparative applications, blotting techniques and general manipulations.

TAE BUFFER, 50X LIQUID CONCENTRATE
TAE (Tris-Acetate-EDTA) is an extensively used buffer for agarose gel electrophoresis applications requiring high resolution and separation of high molecular weight, double-stranded DNA. TAE Buffer is more compatible with in-gel manipulations and band recovery procedures than TBE Buffer. Bio-Tek TAE Buffer is made from Biotechnology Grade chemicals. To make a 1X working solution, add 20 ml of concentrated buffer to 980 ml of distilled or deionised water. Composition of 1X working solution is 0.04 M Tris-Acetate, 0.001 M EDTA; Final pH 8.0.
